Reluctance

Some days even Nana is hesitant to bring things to an end.

Some days even Nana is hesitant to bring things to an end.

Wildflowers are beginning to bloom in the foothills and this morning I came across a patch of small, white blossoms sprouting from the rocky soil.
These amazing plants transform the rough dirt they were given into delicate works of living art.
Makes it hard to complain about my own situation in life after seeing what these tough little lilies are able to do with such conditions.
But it’s also encouraging to know that we have the power to do the same.

Sometimes I get so wrapped up in the tangle and stress of daily survival that I forget to step back and look at the whole.
But when I do stop, rub my eyes and take a fresh look around, I’m reminded that what appears to be a tangled mess around me is actually just the chaotic embrace of life.
Nana’s hugs aren’t always warm, soft or subtle—but they’re always true.
