The business world calls it “risk and opportunity”

Their assumption is that every situation offers the potential for good and bad.

Of course these business folks have simply described a core principle we’ve all learned in our own personal lives: that the world is as you see it.

The more you focus on the shadows, the more shadows appear. The more you focus on the sunlight, the brighter it gets.

You can never completely get rid of one or the other – it’s a package deal Nana gives us. But you can certainly choose which to notice more.

(sorry – this entry was probably a bit tainted by the fact that right now I am up to my eyeballs in finishing finals and reports for my MBA classes…)
