New life rejuvenates old.
It reminds inhabitants who’ve weathered many winters to focus on the future, not the past.

While hiking in the nearby foothills yesterday morning I came across these small pasque flowers poking up along the trail.
They may not be as beautiful as some of the wildflowers that come up later in the spring — once things are safe and secure. But these early bloomers more than make up for it in their character and infectious enthusiasm for life.
A little reminder from Nana that sometimes it’s better to just get out into the world than to wait for perfection.

The bad news is that you won’t be around forever…
The good news is that you’re in charge of the memories you leave others.
That’s the opportunity Nana gives.
